At SouthRidge we believe that ministry isn't just something the pastors and staff of the church do. Without you serving, none of what we do would be possible. We use "My Fit" on our SR Connect platform to easily find serving roles that are a match to your personality and passions. Check it out here.

The countless lives that we are able to change and influence for Jesus are because people like you step up and serve in various places and ministries in the church. Soccer Camp is one of those places.

We asked John what it was like to serve at Soccer Camp, this is what he had to say...

Why did you decide to volunteer for SouthRidge Soccer Camp?

I grew up playing sports and have always wanted to be involved with helping the children develop new skills.  It was also an opportunity to move outside my comfort zone and meet new people that shared a similar passion for helping children learn and grow.

Any story or experience that really stuck out to you when you volunteered for SouthRidge Soccer Camp?

I think it really comes down to the relationships that are created during this week.  I have met so many new people through volunteering at soccer camp from the kids, the families, and the volunteers.

How do you feel like volunteering at SouthRidge Soccer Camp helps build the kingdom? Do you feel like you make a difference?

I think volunteering creates an opportunity for the coaches and other helpers to impact the families of our community by showing them the heart of the church. I feel that any chance we have to touch someones life is an opportunity to show them our love and God's love. Lives are impacted throughout this week including the children, but also the volunteers.

The tears of joy and sadness that come with opening your heart and life to these families can only be experienced through being part of the team and being part of leading these children to follow Jesus. Everyone that steps foot on the field or works behind the scene to make this camp run makes a difference in the lives of the families in our communities but also in the church.

We have one of, if not, the largest soccer camp registration in SouthRidge history this year and we need your help! We need people to serve at this year's soccer camp and help impact hundreds of kids lives.
