What is Camp by Memory?
Students from Grades 3 to 10 can earn their way to a Christian summer camp or other special experience by memorizing verses from the Bible. This is a terrific incentive for memorizing scripture!
How does it work?
Each set of verses (Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-10) will have a different theme found in the Bible. This way students can build on their knowledge and faith. Options: $300 - Full program $150 - Half program Family Program - $75 value Celebration Package for the family if they memorize together.
How many verses will a student memorize?
Full ProgramThe number of verses varies with each grade level. To give you an idea of what to expect, here are some examples of a Full Program's requirements:
Grade 3-5: Typically about 100 verses divided into 12 sections.
Sample section: Psalm 103:1-10
Grade 6-8: Typically about 130 verses divided into sections.
Sample section: James 2:1-13
Grade 9: About 150 verses divided into sections.
Sample section: Ephesians 3:1-21
Grade 10: About 175 verses divided into sections.
Sample section: Colossians 2:1-23
Approximately 30-45 verses, divided into 3 sections.
COVID update
How will Camp by Memory work in light of COVID? Your student will earn money toward a special experience regardless of whether overnight summer camps are available. This year we are pleased to accept a variety of experiences as goals a student can work toward. We can send some suggestions to you, or feel free to contact us to discuss this further.
