Summer Mix FAQ's

Camp at Home FAQ's

Do we have to watch the videos at a certain time?
No, you will get access to the videos at the beginning of each day, and can watch them and participate in the activities as it is most convenient for you. For the large group experience videos there will be a specific time that everyone is encouraged to tune in at (to get the feeling of watching alongside many others), but this is not mandatory if it isn’t convenient. You can even save the activities and participate in camp another week, you will still have access to the videos.

What age is Camp at Home meant for?
The activities in the box are intended for children entering into Grade 1-Grade 5. Please indicate if you have younger children (preschool or kindergarten) who would like to participate, and we will throw in some fun items for them.

How will we get the box?
There will be designated pick up times and locations the week before. If you are not able to pick up, please contact us and we will arrange delivery for you.

Day Camp FAQ's

What age is Day Camp meant for?
In person day camps are available to kids entering Grade 1-Grade 5.

How will you safely run Day Camps in light of COVID?
Kids will be in groups of up to 10 based on their age. Each group will have 2 leaders and the groups will not interact with each other. Everything will be done outdoors, and in spaces large enough to allow for proper social distancing. Snacks provided will be pre-packaged or individually portioned, and will be served only by people designated to handle food.

What sort of sign in process will there be?
When registering, you will have to sign a waiver for your child. Each morning you will also have to sign your child in, and complete a COVID screening checklist. Please reference this checklist each morning; if your child or anyone in your family exhibits any of the symptoms listed on the form, please stay home.

Does my child need to wear a mask and gloves?
There is no obligation to wear a mask and gloves, but you are more than welcome to send your child with a mask and gloves if they are at higher risk, or if they would be more comfortable.

Do you have procedures in place in case someone starts showing symptoms?
We are creating a document outlining our safety procedures as a church, and specific to camp. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns.

What happens if it rains?
Day Camps will be running rain or shine. We recommend looking at the weather each morning, and sending your child prepared for rain (rain jacket, rain boots) or sun (sunscreen, hat, water). We will adjust our activities accordingly for the weather.
