SouthRidge is taking on a one-year sponsorship of a refugee family. We recognize that the needs of the family may extend beyond the one-year time period, and are prepared to meet the challenge. We are seeking to help set up living arrangements for the family. This means we’re going to have to get items to make the house feel more like a home. This is where you can help.

Household items are needed

One of the initiatives we are taking on is providing a place for our fresh-start refugee family to live. Once we know more about the family, we will be able to get specific items that they will need, but for now we can get started with the basics. Have a look at the list and see if you can help us check these items off!

Please note:
All items must be clean and in good working order and will be evaluated prior to being accepted. Please arrange collection of all donations through Shalagh Spielman, as they will be placed directly into the container by our team. Space will likely be an issue, so we are looking for furniture that is not bulky.

  • Set of 6 neutral coloured placemats
  • Trivets / hotpads

  • Basic Cleaning Supplies (such as comet, glass cleaner, cleaning cloths, rubber gloves)
  • Medicine Cabinet Basic Supplies (such as bandaids, polysporin, etc.)

  • Stackable washer and dryer combo.

  • Warm coats for children sizes 2T, 3T, 4T (new/used in good condition)
