We’re gearing up for the Mexico 2016 missions trip

Wes Linde Langley Church

Hola!
There are 29 of us going to Mexico on a Youth and Families missions trip, March 18-26, 2016. We will be building a house, running a soccer camp and doing various ministry projects. The purpose of our trip is to assist the local missionaries (http://msqmexico.ca/) with connecting people to the local church, sharing the gospel, and providing a secure home for a family.

The area we are going to is 5 hours south of San Diego in the San Quintin valley, Baja California. There is approximately 150,000 people in the area, with most of the houses being built near the city of Vicente Guerrero.

The Mexican people we are working with have left their homes on the mainland in hopes of secure employment. Often these families risk everything for a better life on the Baja, finding out that the farming work they came for is seasonal. These people are often too poor to send their kids to school and often are ignored and marginalized due to their race.

We will be updating here through our website and we hope to give daily updates while we are down in Mexico.

We are excited to see what God has in store! Please pray for us, and if you feel burdened to help us financially, please contact the church office.

More updates to come!
Hasta luego amigos,
Wes
