I Can See Clearly Now

Web Team Kirk Wood, Message, This verse changed my life

Summary

Saul would have known the Old Testament stories of God interacting with people. When he meets Jesus on the road to Damascus and hears the declaration of Jesus, he would have been terrified.

Saul sees Jesus for the first time and everything changes. He immediately leaves Judaism, is baptized, and begins to share about Christ.

The outcome is not one you would have expected, and it is drastic, changing everything in Saul’s life.

Have you ever had a profound encounter with Christ where you saw Him clearly and something changed?

  1. When we see Christ for who He truly is, He changes our lives forever. He will change your everything. Seeing Jesus clearly always leads to a powerfully transformed life. Nothing is unchanged. (Acts 9:1-31)
  2. In order to see Jesus for whom He truly is, we will have to humble ourselves and ask/consider, “Who are you, Lord?” Paul used his past to point to the transformation Jesus had done in his life.
  3. Seriously investigate Jesus and ask Him to reveal the truth of Himself to you. “But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.” (2. Corinthians 3:16).
  4. If you are a Jesus follower, go and help people answer the question of who Jesus is for themselves. (Romans 10).

Be praying for the people in your life who don’t know Christ and for those whom faith is fragile. We need compassion and to encourage people to seek Jesus out for themselves.

Jesus is faithful and He will lead us as we pray and work to show Him clearly in our lives.
