Mexico Update: Last Full Day In Mexico

imageHola amigos! (Above is Pastor Trini saying hola and gracias to SouthRidge!)

This is our last night in Mexico and there are mixed feelings of sadness and excitement for home. Today we went to see the family again and dropped off some things and said goodbye. Lars and I went to Pastor Trini’s house to drop off an kids parachute game that Isabella wanted him to have, and he was so surprised to see us that he cried. He prayed for us before we left and Lars and I both feel that we can really help him by sending more soccer equipment down to him so he can reach more of the teens that are addicted to drugs. So much can be done down here that it is emotional and overwhelming to think of it.

After that we went for fish tacos in San Quintin and headed to the really nice beach at the Santa Maria hotel. After that we had a team meal at Don Diegos restaurant. We thanked Keith, Sue and Victor for helping us and had an awesome time sharing in a big group before sending everyone to bed. We shared, we cried, we laughed (especially when we all made fun of Albert’s snoring… He replied,” you call it snoring, I call it dreaming I’m a motorcycle”.

Tomorrow we are dropping donated items at the women’s transition house led by a lady named Dorothy. We are checking out the orphanage, the town market, then hitting the Tijuana border by 4pm. Please pray as we cross that border, it’s very busy and the wait can last 3hrs minimum.

Tomorrow night we stay in San Diego.
Thanks for praying and please pray for a safe travel back to Canada!

Adios,
Wes
