Passage – 1 Timothy 4:12
When we look back in our lives we can look at patterns and categories which people have placed in our lives. These can be both words of encouragement and barriers.
For Brent it has been, “Aren’t you a little young?”
The verse that has changed Brent’s life is: 1 Timothy 4:12 Don’t let anyone look down upon you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.
The biblical definition in this passage is 40 years and younger. Timothy would be in his thirties at this time. Age was of value in the culture of this time.
Five things Paul has us consider:
- Pay attention to your speech.
- Pay attention to your life.
- Pay attention to your love.
- Pay attention to your faith.
- Pay attention to your purity.
Why is it his important?
You have been called to share a message, be an example, use your gifts.
